2009 Nominees for Nigeria National Honours Award
The list of recipients for 2009 National Honours Awards is out.The list shows that most of the awardees are public and political office holders whose major credentials for the recognition are the offices they occupy. The original list was submitted to President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua while he was alive. After his demise the list was further panel-beaten to accommodate some interests.
